TAP project participated as a presenter and sponsor at the 16th Caspian Oil and Gas Conference in Baku on the 3-4th of June
Robert Klein, Managing Director of the TAP project, explained advantages of the new transportation alternative in the Southern Gas Corridor.
Participants at the conference included many influential stakeholders with whom TAP was able to continue a constructive dialogue during the event.
This is the second time the TAP project participated in this conference which is officially supported by the National Oil and Gas company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR). TAP’s sponsorship of the event, underlines the strategic importance of the Caspian region in the energy industry and its importance for the opening of additional gas routes via the Southern Corridor.
TAP took a slot in a plenary session on Day 2 of the conference and was one of the projects to present alongside IGI and Nabucco pipeline projects. Robert Klein, Managing Director of TAP, in his presentation “Trans Adriatic Pipeline: front-end engineering stage running” outlined the main advantages of the project. “TAP is the shortest route requiring least investment, it is the most technically advanced project in the Southern Corridor which will be routed through the shallowest part of the Adriatic Sea. In addition, it offers producers and shippers full control of the marketing of their gas supplies to Europe.” - he said.
