This week TAP held a press conference with key Italian media in Brindisi. The objective was to provide local stakeholders with an overview of the route refinement process. In addition, TAP’s aim has been to engage and listen to all stakeholders before any applications are formally made. The approach to brief all stakeholders early on and before any applications are made was appreciated. TAP has held approximately 60 meetings in the region of Puglia meeting with local residents, local authorities and agencies to given them details about the pipeline, collect data engage and take on board any concerns before deciding on the preferred route option for the pipeline. It will then begin the necessary applications process and the Environmental Social & Impact Assessment process.
